Sustainable Design Approach

From the outset, RoC Consulting recognised the sustainability benefits of retaining and repurposing the existing building fabric, which inspired broader sustainable design decisions. RoC proposed exploring a panelised timber frame construction, which offered several advantages:

  • Fewer work packages on site, reducing programme risk
  • Compatibility with the raft foundation solution, achieving efficiencies through a lighter structural load
  • A construction methodology aligned with the project’s sustainability goals

This forward-thinking approach exemplifies RoC Consulting’s commitment to delivering practical, efficient, and environmentally responsible engineering solutions.
