Manchester City Council have approved planning for the proposed development of 3 multi storey buildings on Princess Street, Manchester.

The scheme includes two high quality residential and one 4 star+ hotel buildings, with heights of 14, 13 and 11 storeys, including ground floor retail and restaurant space overlooking a central public landscaped space. The scheme will create a vibrant development that complements the area’s historic context and sensitively reconnects the site to its surroundings.

Urban & Civic plc appointed RoC Consulting for Civil, Structural and Geo-Environmental services for the development.  As well as design proposals to form the new building structures above ground, RoC have given significant consideration to minimising the impact on the existing 4 storey basement structure and complex massing of the new building envelope. Work will commence on site second quarter 2016.
