Working closely with clients, regulators and other key stakeholders, Alex oversees the production of Phase 1 and Phase 2 site investigation reports, as well as pre-acquisition and due diligence surveys, remediation strategies and validation statements.
Alex supports the technical development of a wide range of brownfield sites, during which issues such as soil pollution, asbestos contamination, groundwater quality, coal mine stabilisation, slope stability and ground gas ingress are investigated and mitigated. With a strong emphasis placed on the re-use and treatment of material on site, Alex’s particular expertise is in formulating cost-effective solutions to facilitate the development of land that would otherwise have been deemed unusable.
With an excellent understanding of the wider development process, Alex plays an important role in high-profile strategic land projects. He is able to explain the implications of ground risk to the wider design team in a clear and concise manner, thus providing valuable input.
Alex actively pursues opportunities for Earth Sciences, in particular our offer in the promotion of Strategic Land where our Civil Engineering and Earth Sciences teams provide a coordinated service.
