Mike Newman

His experience covers a wide range of projects in the built environment, ranging from new-build, refurbishment, and maintenance work on residential, retail, transport, hospital, schools and civic buildings, including multi-storey structures and stadia projects.

Mike thrives on the finer detail of projects, whether that’s striving to achieve the client and architect’s vision, driving efficiencies in design through engineering expertise or aiding the construction team to overcome any of the site complexities that inevitably materialise. Crucially, he understands that creating a successful project is more than delivering the design, it’s engaging with the people behind it.

As projects director Mike is also closely involved in the commercial delivery aspects of our projects.

His varied experience includes many high-profile and award-winning projects, including maintenance and inspection work for premier football club stadia, Wembley Stadium and the multi-award-winning Civil Justice Centre in Manchester.

Mike has recently delivered a 614 bed PRS scheme, Clippers Quay, Salford and is currently delivering an £82m residential scheme at Manchester New Square.   Mike and his team were  IStructE 2019 Award Winners Medium Project for the basement of Manchester New Square, utilising a complex pre-existing 4-storey basement reckoned to be the deepest in Manchester.
