Jon Smith

As design director at RoC Consulting, Jon is responsible for developing the structural concepts and design philosophies for new projects, working closely with architects and other construction professionals to deliver schemes that meets client needs.

Jon monitors the development of the design throughout the life of the project.  He is responsible for resourcing the design teams and ensures that key strategic information is delivered to clients at the right time, through the all stages of the project.

Jon is also responsible for developing the skills and expertise across the business to continuously improve the service offered to clients by taking advantage of new technologies, design software and construction techniques.

His particular expertise lies in structural dynamics, crowd-induced vibration in stadia and the response of high-rise buildings to wind.
