Often working collaboratively with colleagues in our civil and structural engineering teams, we provide desk based and intrusive ground investigation information to support building design and ground remediation operations.  Since our formation we have supported the redevelopment of several hundred hectares of brownfield and contaminated sites through the planning process including the provision of remedial recommendations.

We cover a diverse range of schemes, from small refurbishments of existing structures through to supporting master planning decisions on regionally important brownfield sites. Our understanding of the wider build process allows us to communicate our findings in a clear and concise manner.  Operating within a civil and structural engineering practice generates a greater understanding of how our work fits within the wider development process and gives rise to a holistic view on ground conditions from the outset.

We provide consulting expertise in a wide range of geotechnical and geo-environmental fields including, pre-acquisition and liability assessments, Phase 1 desktop studies, planning submission and EIA technical input, Phase 2 contaminated land & geotechnical assessment, new building foundation design, remediation strategy design and implementation, coal mining investigation and stabilisation.  Working collaboratively with our civil engineering team as part of RoC Consulting’s Strategic Land service line, we provide technical advice on ground related constraints to support the preliminary site acquisition and master planning process.
